There’s no doubt that Inside 25 is the winner with its screw-on net and unique 4-inch caster wheels. While Tour 2500 doesn’t score any point, it still nails the tabletop’s quality which Joola proudly claims as ”tournament-grade”,
Steel aprons
The winner: Inside 25
Looking at the measurement only, one might find it hard to tell why I chose Inside 25 rather than the other as both feature 2-inch steel aprons. Nonetheless, I found out that the steel apron of Tour 2500 is a little loose as the aprons don’t attach tightly to the tabletop as they do with Inside 25, which seems to contradict the apron’s purpose.
More precisely, what steel tube aprons do is that they make sure the flatness of the tabletop remains intact against time and pressure. With that in mind, Inside 25’s 2 in-steel aprons might offer more on the table, especially when paired with the 25mm-thickness of the tabletop.
Regarding their look, Joola decided to keep the aprons’ design the same from Inside 25 to Tour 2500. Both share the same powder-coat, black-matte aprons featured with the silk-screened JOOLA logo.

I chose Inside 25’s screw-on net over the Tour 2500’s heavy-duty clamp-style design for good reason. Yes, the post-and-set net is indisputably easier to set up than any other designs out there, but instability is the major downside of that convenience.
Indeed, I’ve tried using a couple of ping-pong tables and have to admit, despite some of the tables’ exquisite playability, I keep getting frustrated by the lousy tension adjustment of their post-and-set net,
On the other hand, the screw-on net finds itself at the average point of convenience and durability. And because I want to avoid any discomfort once I have paid quite a budget for an expert-level table, I would instead go with the latter.
